Frequently Asked Questions
How long will it take for my manuscript to complete peer review?
The review timeline varies based on factors such as reviewer availability and the research field’s complexity. Please be aware that Pierre Online Publications, like other academic publishers, occasionally faces delays in securing suitable reviewers. We appreciate your patience while we ensure that your manuscript undergoes a thorough and constructive review process.
How do I check the status of my peer review?
To check your submission status, log in to the journal’s website and navigate to the Submission Dashboard. If you have further questions, you may contact us at support@pierreonline.uk. However, frequent inquiries regarding status updates may cause delays.
Why have I been asked to review a manuscript?
To help minimise delays, we rely on authors, co-authors, and our pool of volunteer reviewers to evaluate submitted manuscripts. As a contributor to the academic publishing process, we encourage you to support your peers by accepting review invitations when possible.
Can I suggest reviewers for my manuscript?
Our peer review process follows a double-blind system to prevent bias and ensure a diverse range of feedback. For this reason, we do not accept author-suggested reviewers. However, we welcome researchers to register as volunteer reviewers. If you know someone interested in reviewing, they can email journals@pierreonline.uk to express their interest.
Will I receive a certificate upon acceptance?
Yes. After successfully passing Phase 2 | Peer Review and completing Phase 3 | Rights Agreement, an official acceptance certificate will be issued. The certificate will be sent via email upon final acceptance of your manuscript.
What should I do if my manuscript is rejected?
If your manuscript does not pass peer review, you may request a second round of peer review if this is your first rejection. The editorial team will assess your request and determine if another review cycle is possible. Please note that a second review is not guaranteed.
How do I become a peer reviewer for Pierre Online Publications?
If you are interested in joining our pool of peer reviewers, please send an email to journals@pierreonline.uk with your academic background, research interests, and relevant experience.
How can I join the Research Network Editorial Board?
Reviewers who complete six high-quality reviews within a year may be considered for inclusion in the Pierre Online Research Network Editorial Board. If you are interested, please email journals@pierreonline.uk.
